...and the “insel” hotel at Hefenweiler 1

Subsequently construction on the café and restaurant was energetically continued and with the completion of the hotel in 1959, Heilbronn gained an architecturally interesting and important centre of hospitality.

From 1970 to 1972, Hans-Georg  and Gisela Mayer carried out the expansion and modernization of the  hotel with drive and vigour. The current insel-Hotel, with 125 rooms and 180 beds, has an excellent reputation within the region and beyond. Circa 90 employees and 15 trainees are momentarily employed at the hotel.
